Hi my name is Sorin. First of all hi to all of u, really sorry didn’t think to do my research before to pay the money… But what is done is done, at least now I have u guys to get some honest FREE advice.
Like some of you I got fed up losing jobs coz of the times, love to drive, went directly for the c, c+e back to back.
Didn’t bother to ask any advice so I end up paying to (middle man) company who like most of you r saying made lots of promises… The worst one witch I actually believed coz of the no job situation was that I am going to have the licences if everything goes alright in 6 weeks
I find it really hard now coz nobody in that company can give me any advice regarding driving, cpc no drivers working there, second of all they sent me to a company for my practical test where I am being passed between instructors… doesn’t feel right.
Best advice I can give is Don’t pay any money to somebody u can’t talk in person
Thanks for being honest, it is painful to see people being treated like this by middle men brokers, and telling your story might help deter others.
I really hope that in spite of this it comes good for you and your test goes ok. If you have any questions or are struggling then ask on here - the best trainers in the country are members on this site and they are remarkably generous with free advice!
All the best.Tim

+1. Fire away with the questions.

Thanks for support, I want to say sth witch I believe I’ve done right I think and is good for new drivers…
Prior to start my teory test and my driving practice I went to a company, spoke to the transport manager and asked if I could go for a number of days with one of their drivers just like training( without being payed). And to be honest that help me a lot. First I learned how to load, unload, secure load, use tail lift and pallet truck. Second the driver Kev helped me with lots of questions and third I secured an interview for when I have my licence.
I am now waiting to go to my third practice session on 18t, will c how it goes…
I thought, in Romania, you just pay the guy at the local government office, and you get your licences, CPC, etc… all in the same day?
Am I wrong?
To be honest I havvent been home for about 7 yr now but if nth changed I suppose u r right…
I’m in Greece. The CPC here is exactly the same as the UK. The days of giving someone a backhander have gone. Here they have anyway. I changed my UK licence to a Greek one when I moved here. Also my car licence runs out here when I’m 65 not 70 like the UK. So your not always the worst done by drivers in the world. No wonder the Aussies call us whinging pommes.

I hope you’re joking - I was!
Its not that easy in romania any more… u can still “pay” for it but it takes time anyway thats why i choose to do the training here. Passed C on 7th and cpc module 4 on 24th this month just waiting now the full license and digicard to come from dvla. And for Ssorin… before i started training think i went to about 15 companies stopped to one who answered my questions with REAL and honest answers and did not asked any money in advance. I went for a trainer recommended on here. Anyway “iti doresc noroc” (means wish u good luck in romanian:). And to u all as well.
Don’t know how to spell it but "coo platcherry (which means “you’re welcome” in Romanian.)

'Ur almost right Pete. It is spelled “cu placere”. Its nice to see that some ppl knows a bit of romanian words
Moulsamesc - spelt wrong again - means “thankyou”
I spent 1990 - 1994 driving artics full of aid to the Romanian orphanages, hospitals and schools so I picked up a bit.
