How not to drop a loaded trailer

you’ll have to have it put down. it’s got a broken leg.

How’s it happened, just sunk? or badly dropped (not using air suspension)? bad surface? faulty leg?

Can’t tell much from the pic

Near side leg sunk into ground…
It it wasn’t for the diesel tank it would have gone over,

I seen its start to sink and screamed at the driver to back back underneath it, but it was too late,

Load still got delivered ok with a clean cmr…

Cost a few quid for a crane to lift it up tho…

It wasn’t the drivers fault, our yard had been dug up to look for a drain. That particular spot was a bit soft obviously !!!

A good advert for Chereau trailers

Regards,
Nick.

i couldn’t help myself. i’d have to wind him up.
keep a straight face, and say something like “i’m sorry, but we have to let you go. we need reliable drivers that don’t make [zb] ups, so i’ll have to let you go …over there, and lift that other trailer”.

Hope the grease gun was brought out while it was like that

Ahh, woman driver, explains everything

I think title is a bit misleading though, sounds like the drivers fault, but then you explain it couldn’t be (unless she knew about the dodgy bit of ground)…

Always expected this to happen at Archbold in Heywood, those that know it will know what I mean :open_mouth:

Driver at our place found a drain, which was covered by Tarmac, been dropping trl’s here for years too, million to one chance of getting that leg right on a weak man hole cover!
