Theres a lot of trucks around these days with loads of lights all over them, not something I would be bothered about myself, but they do brighten up the place and each to there own and all that. I was just wondering if anyone has done any calculations as to how much they cost to run. I realise most of them will be L.E.D
s but there must be a cost incurred to run the extra load on the motor.

disconnect the limiter, and he will
Doesn’t bother me and never did, I would never pay a penny for any extra lamp on any truck unless it was some interior lamp that could be removed easily. In the state of New York and many others if you have any type of exterior lamp anywhere on the truck it must work by law, so if you fit some extra show off lamp and get pulled in by DOT it doesn’t matter if it’s a fairy light, if it doesn’t work you will get a ticket.
I’ve got LEDs on the front of mine, also on the steps and air kit.
I don’t know about how much they cost but I can leave them on for most of the day without a drain down on the battery so it can’t be all that much.
Move not paid a penny for them.
On my old tipper I had loads and paid for them myself (with a fly load of planings)
