hello all,could any body help me out please, I was trying to sort some owing holiday out with me gaffa tonight,and am confused with the result i got back. have been full time over a year now,and he said we get 15days paid holiday plus bank holidays■■? Is this so. I thought you got more than that,but dont use all of me hols as a norm. so just want to no what you are allowed? Thank you, 
According to the direct.gov website you are entitled to 24 days paid holiday per year if you work a minimum five day week, this may include public holidays
4.8 weeks, which equals 24 days if you work a five day week. Those 24 days can include the 8 Bank and Public holidays so worst ways your boss is doing you out of one day by saying you only get 15 days.
we get 28 days p.a , which is 20 days plus 8 days b/h .
but in giving that they took our double time away , we now get flat time for b/holidays.
so as im sun-thurs if i dont want to work a b/h for flat time i can use one of my 28 days to cover it .
im not sure weve gained from the new rules on holidays 
we get 25 days, but we get bank holiday pay built into our wages,as we always work them
Thank you for all your help people,a wee bit gutted cause we only use to get half our pay when we took holiday,and the boss drop,d our money/bonus so we could have our full pay when having holiday/hence why i never used all my holiday before.and now feeling slightly cheated!
