How much for Class 2 licence?

Can anyone recommend a good HGV/LGV driving school in Scotland, preferably near the Tayside Angus or Perthshire area and roughly what is the cheapest price I am able to get a Class 2 licence for?

Have a look HERE

My cat C course was £795 which included the test fee. You’re best to call your local training providers to find out the prices local to you.

Before that you need a medical and your Category C provisional entitlement, then also you need the theory and the hazard perception tests. After that you can start on driver training.

cheers mate, you know if there are any loans or schemes that would help get money of?

Like so many others who want to get behind the wheel, there’s a shock in store for you. You’re too young for the vast majority of firms and when you pass the other major hurdle will be a complete lack of experience. What are your expectations from this choice of career?
I suggest you read Redrorrys’ post about a washing machine.

your more than likely to take your test in perth, so you may aswell train in perth

And there’s no jobs anyway. 10000s of experienced truckers already on the dole.

I recommend highfield heavies hgv training, contact Pat johnson through website or call.

They train out of glasgow near M8 and have trainees from all over scotland and highlands,

highly recommend mate and one of the best prices you’ll get

all the best!

You dont state your age in your post, but some are saying that you are too young, if thats the case why not join the T.A. and get paid for training? There is a lot of hassle in obtaining a vocational licence nowadays with the medical and theory test then DCPC before you even smell a lorry.I think that you will need a £1,000 to get your class2.The other way in is to become a bus driver maybe Stagecoach will train you and keep you for 2 years then you would have big wheels experience and with luck the economy will have improved and you just might secure the job that you want. Its tough out there.

^ stagecoach would be an option, if you can stand kids and drunks/junkies

plus the depot is only up at inveralmond industrial estate
