Usual comments about it being complete ■■■■■■■■ I see but if it isn’t needed then why do we have so many questions about basic drivers hours?
It’s flawed. No need for 35 hours. There should be a yearly course (most would do 1 a year anyway) covering first aid, current tacho regs, current DvSa regulations on load carrying, safety checks etc. This should be carried out by an accredited training company. (only properly trained and accredited people can train you anyway) Not a bunch of chancers speeling out PowerPoint crap. In my view that would probably be a more interesting / productive day and done and dusted.

Your answer is flawed from the outset
So another driver that don’t know what he / she is talking about
We can only hope to achieve your high standards. Why resort to insults.

You’ve just illustrated WHY it is actually all ■■■■■■■■/waste of time.
We all have it now but many have actually learned Jack ■■■■ from it…as you say.
So IF it MUST be done ( just to keep up appearances ), then ok,…full course first time, and a quick refresher of a couple of hours periodically.
Then and only then would it be proven not to be there as a money making excercise.
Fully expecting the usual abusive reply when I or anyone else dares to rubbish this dog ■■■■, but just think about that statement for a moment before you do.

In complete agreement…
With Robroy on this one. In it’s present form it’s utter bollox. Passing by attendance only, means you can snooze, text yer mates through the entire module and learn absolutely sodbleedin’all.
One look at all the bridge hitting threads and last weeks M6 7 truck shunt tell me that the DCPC isn’t fit for purpose.
