How many idiots on the road have you experienced this week?

I’ve seen plenty. This week and every other, tools all over the place. But the thing I wonder, is just how many people have thought I’ve been driving like a twunt?? Probably several…

Thing to remember is that everyone makes mistakes, if you all go home at the end of the day, what does it really matter■■?

Friday 13th tomorrow, beware bad drivers, including yourselves

Happens all the time. :open_mouth:

If you really want to remain sane, simply focus upon maintaining your own high driving standards instead of focussing on everyone else’s poor ones. At the end of the week the answer to the question in the title of this thread will be, ‘Dunno’. Robert

Loads of bad drivers of Audi’s :open_mouth:

But not one mention of a BMW, strange that

Perhaps a police-trucker partnership could be set up by a progressive new government - to forward footage then used as the main evidence in prosecution…

Imagine if you’re the richard head in the car being filmed by a truck’s dashcam blatently breaking the law?

Kinda brings back the old “Kings of the Road” rank for those of us on our air-cushioned thrones don’t it? :smiling_imp:

Lifes too short. Yes I sometimes get hot under the collar at others driving but 10 seconds later the incident is forgotten. As others have said just concentrate on being the best driver you can and let all the rest of it go.

Tris:
…a white Audi undertakes me as I’m using the fast lane on the M1 to overtake a wide load and want to pull back into lane 2 after.

What’s “the fast lane”?

Tris:

gickniff:
Its part of the job !! I see that many they barely register now, water off a ducks back!

90% in White audis, yes?

I aren’t half pleased mines a blue one

Fully loaded going up the new overtaking at Carrutherstown, knew there was a camera van in its usual perch so just stayed at 40 at the top. One of the nvd ie empty car transporters passes me, no bother until he sees the camera van. He slams the anchors on. By now his pal from the same company, also empty, is alongside me on the white chevrons at the end of the two lanes. Rather than backing off he just swerved at me, forcing me to take brake very hard to avoid the gravel on the edge.
Bravo boys.

not to bad here, just had one women in a BMW racing me into the cones on the a46 when it was down to one lane, she lost and went playing with the cones

My favourite this week. On A17 just coming out of Kings Lynn and long long queue if traffic coming other way. Bloke pulls out quite a distance away jumping the queue. Except he’s getting closer and closer and I have nowhere to go. I start braking to avoid swallowing his car whole and flash my lights. Guess what… He gives ME the one finger salute. Priceless

for me a greenwoods boxes ■■■ in a class 2 who think going straight from the slip road to the middle lane is ok (twice in 2 weeks this knob has done it to me now).

and my biggest grip is people who wont pull in, don’t know if its a Nottingham thing but by god if they are turning right in 3 miles they will sit in the outside lane for the 3 miles no matter who is behind them.

Apart from the terrible standard of driving and road awareness of alot of drivers, truckers included, the most worrying thing I see on an hourly basis is people on phones or texting, I have even seen,on a couple of occasions, people with their ipads on the centre of the steering wheel looking on google or rightmove scanning properties !! the worst part ? I see more truckers doing it than car drivers. Yesterday, while driving down the M1 past jct 28, i am in lane 2 waiting to pull in after overtaking, a truck started to overtake me, by the time he was cab level with me I could see he was on the phone having an animated phone call, while on the inside, lane 1, another truck had decided to undertake me and when he was cab level he was also on the phone but he also had his ipad on his lap !!! crazy mother truckers !!!

This tool nearly took my offside mirror off on M1 earlier whilst going through the roadworks.
he stayed out there for a good mile as well.

I do hope that’s a dashcam picture, and not from a mobile phone.

Just got to let it wash over you.

The real problem is the lack of Police means that people think there is zero chance of being caught for anything other than speeding.

When I grew up in Bristol in the 70s you saw ‘jam sandwiches’ patrolling all the time. In the towns, on motorways everywhere. You can drive for days on the motorways and trunk roads without seeing a single police car now.

I remember getting stopped late at night coming home from the pub on several occasions. Always completely sober of course.
Once a Policeman asked me to get out of the car and asked me if it was my car. To prove it in the absence of any papers and not wanting to bother with the paperwork of a document produce, he came up with a brainwave and asked me what colour it was. So I stepped back, looked it up and down and said that the streetlight made it look a muddy brown colour.

Despite the quality of the police intervention it did make you think that there was a chance, if you did something daft, that it might be picked up.

Idiots on the roads? Is it possible to make a journey by truck now without someone overtaking and then pulling in without leaving anything like enough room? Or trying to overtake someone and then having them trap you in the outer lane?

The portrait orientation of the photo suggests the latter.

The question is, who’s worse; the driver cracking on in lane three or the driver hogging lane two whilst holding a mobile phone up in front of his face?

TruckNet, you decide.

It might be a selfie…on one of those long pole things.

lol, exactly what I thought. I’m glad my parents and niece weren’t in their car on the inside at the time.

I think, and I could be wrong coz Ive been wrong once before,he means YOU hogging the inside lane holding a mobile.
Where you on a mobile or is it dashcam footage?
