our night shift was at one time 99% e/e,but id guess now its 30% e/e ,since they keep getting sacked for nicking diesel,oil etc 
the agency i work for has 1 polish and 1 hungarian both good lads both speak good english and will have a good ole grip and whine like the rest of us!
One full time polish driver .And theres 3 or 4 polish from the agency as they are called for.Loads in the warehouse at our depot in bellshill from the four corners of the globe.

I know several eastern europeans and have been there many times, it is not personal. But you cannot deny they have made a negative difference to the British lorry drivers lot. To do so is plain stupid. I do not blame them for coming here atall but our lives are " different " because of it.

It all started way before that when the 2 GermanyĆĀ“s were united and there was an enormous influx of East Germans in to Holland, Belgium and France as well as Western Germany and lo and behold that is where they all got the idea from of allowing Eastern Europeans to follow on after seeing how the influx of ex commies from the East of Germany stagnated wages through just about half of Europe

Interesting to compare the Polish contribution to Britian and the black community/pakistani contribution. 
I know im competing with Polish for work but canāt say iāve ever been aware of any other ethnic group after my job or making waves in my chosen career. Despite having lived in some of Britians more vibrant multicultral areas.
