I get 26 a year plus Bank Holidays. If I work a B/H then it is standard rate plus a day in lieu, but it is very rare to work a B/H.
Start at 160 hours a year (or pro rata if you start in the middle of the leave year) and then another 8 hours a year for every complete year of service at the start of the leave year. Bank holidays are paid at double time ORsingle time and a day in lieu with double time once you’ve worked more than your rostered day. I usually get to use 6 weeks a year at the time of my choosing.
My dad takes a few days off at christmas and thats it.
20 days holiday, plus all bank holidays which if we work(voluntary) double time plus day in lieu.
24 days holiday + bank holidays (which we generally work due to doing deliveries to RDCs). Xmas is the only day we
re suposed to shut
At my office job: 25 days + bank holidays + 1 day for long service +/- 5 days flexible.
So, um, 25+1+8+5 = 34.
Driving: none. Well, in 16 months, I’ve done less than 20 days’ work, so I can’t complain too much
I get 20 days + bank hols, but cant take any during december not til after christmas day anyway to busy. But only do a 5 day week and this includes when I run out Sunday afternoons, so start about 3ish sunday afternoon do 7–8 hours that night, finish thursday night til 3ish sunday afternoon never had that much weekend before., better try and stay here
it is now compulsory for employers to offer 20 days (4 weeks) paid holiday to all employees (inc part time employees).
it is also compulsory for employers to offer contracts of employment to employees which must detail the holiday structure and pay structure.
bank holidays may be included in the 20 days (4 weeks) holidays offered.
from the DTI Web-site:
http://www.dti.gov.uk/er/work_time_regs/wtr7.htm
SECTION 7: PAID ANNUAL LEAVEEvery worker — whether part-time or full-time — covered by these regulations is entitled to four weeks’ paid annual leave. This includes workers who are subject to the Road Transport Directive.
A week’s leave should allow workers to be away from work for a week. It should be the same amount of time as the working week: if a worker does a 5-day week, he or she is entitled to 20 days’ leave; if he or she does a 3-day week, the entitlement is 12 days’ leave.
The leave entitlement under the regulations is not additional to bank holidays. There is no statutory right to take bank holidays off. Therefore a worker who is not otherwise paid in respect of bank holidays may take bank holidays as part of his or her annual leave entitlement in order to receive payment for these holidays.
also you cannot carry your statutory leave over to the next holiday or recieve payment instead of holiday except where you leave an job and you still have holiday entitlemnt left over.
However, if your contract allows you more holiday than the statutory minimum the extra leave can be paid instead or carried over to the next year if it’s part of your contract of work.
I get 20 day plus bank holidays and as many unpaid days as I need. There are reasons for this
I’ve had such a nice relaxing year at work I forgot to take any holiday… So for December 2004 I worked about 4 days in total
Mind you, I managed to rack up about 1700 miles on “holiday” seeing freinds around the country
20 days including stats and i have to work for 3 months to get a week of them
