Haringey Council is set to become the first in the country to limit the number of pizza, burger and kebab shops on its streets in an attempt to improve the health of its poorest residents.

If they are the poorest residents, how can they live on take-away food?

Haringey is an absolute toilet. There’s a book called ‘Chicken: High Calorie, Low Art’ (I think) which is a montage of all of these KFC-imitating shops.

It coming to something when a publisher knows that’ll make money!

Anything that cleans that place up is a good thing in my opinion. I suspect it’s a cover to get these shops out of the borough along with the trouble they attract, without compromising their “right-on” leftie image…

Bring back cookery lessons in schools. Teach our kids how to prepare cheap but healthy meals. I can make a meal for 4 that is much tastier, much healthier and as cheap as a single McD meal deal.
When you’ve been bought up on buying your meals everyday what can you expect?

Yes, the problem is that women have been conditioned into thinking that acquiring kitchen skills equates to demeaning and degrading domestic slavery, and just don’t learn how to prepare a meal in school any more.

You don’t have kids in primary school, clearly.

They spend so much time studying ‘healthy eating’ and being harassed over the contents of their lunch boxes that they barely get a chance to study global warming properly.
