I would outright refuse on the grounds of health and safety. I don’t have a clue what risks there are in a warehouse, I drive trucks. Even at our warehouse the only risks I can be certain I know about are the FLTs, the rest could have come from Mars for all I know.

I had to listen to someone complaining about a driver being sent on some traction work saying that they’d only passed their test a year ago and were still doing set routes so what was their boss doing sending them on third party work when they didn’t have the experience? Christ when I started you got a phone call that went along the lines of “Be at X for 4am, nobody will be there. Keys are under the bonnet, notes are in the cab. Crack on drive.”
