Relocating is a big decision and part and parcel of more evolved countries is that they are more gay friendly.
If one fears death or isolation for practicing there ■■■■■■ tendencies in their country of birth then perhaps moving is the logical solution.
Apart from a few extreme groups homophobia is a little more tame in Europe so why not. It’s a good a reason as any.

I live in the largest city in Brasil. I wouldn’t say that there are any more woofers here than there are anywhere else. I know that when I am home in the UK and travel to any large city I would I suppose see or hear just as many as I do here
The British gay LGBT I think that they call themselves supported the miners during the strike as a consequence they were able to take advantage of the block vote system and won more rights and recognition for their cause.I dont think that being gay is a lifechoice ,there are some people who have been born into the wrong body.People inthe developed West have more chance of being educated and tolerant ,the neanderthals from the East are more likely to want them buned or be headed.

I find your comments quite abusive. Pretty much all of Europe was until recently a hell for gays. And yet… Here we are… Whitewashimg history, and simplifying. Where does even Central Europe come into this polar world of yours. For instance Poland never punished homosexual people, yet never really allowed formalisation of their de facto marriages.
You also suggest that gay people from LGSM supported the miners for their cause, but what you forget is that Mark who was the leader of the grpup was a communist. He genuonely believed in community, in supporting each other. You would know that if you bothered to do some research apart from simplistic film that barely even mentions that Mark was left wing, for the fear of offending Americans.
Finally, you say that the gays got more rights. No. They gradually obtained the rights that the rest of the society had. The way you phrased it suggests that gays allegsdly have more rights
I was shocked to find out a couple of weeks ago that the last time a man was imprisoned in this country for being gay was in 1993. In the fifties or sixties I wouldn’t have been surprised but I thought we had moved on a bit by the nineties.
