No words. Bad enough getting that close to a low bridge. But then to try an impossible u turn and then keep on trying further wrecking the truck and trailer. Then getting out after wedging it completely and putting your hands on you head. Sorry no words.
Brain dead moron shouldn’t even have a car licence let alone a truck licence.
In the first video it seems like he saw the bridge very late. Obviously a bad day for the driver, but I am sure he will have gotten over it. Many worse things have been done.
It does strike me that the person filming is not moving from the wider part of the road, where a more appropriate manoeuvre could have been attempted. It doesn’t excuse the driver by any means, but it seems the first instinct from joe public is to get the camera phone out rather than help or even get out of the way.

The first clip here is my favourite u turn fail. Especially at 0.17 when he put his hand to his chin and thought “hmmmmm” as if there might be a way out of it
Ok I’ll come clean, since young Sammym ‘outed.’ me as ‘somebody who always gets lost without a truck sat nav, and causes ‘carnage’ avoiding and backing up from low bridges’’ (in the ‘Having a bad day’’ thread )
All those clips are of me in my different jobs over the years.

And this week she lost her key and after 6 hours looking for it had to be recovered

You outed yourself old Robert. You have posted on here before saying the police needed to come and close roads to help you reverse out of situations you put yourself in!
I’m sure you didn’t cause as much damage as these blokes. But if you were not following your car satnav you’d never have been in that position.
Look we all know these drivers could’ve avoided this if they knew the simple way to calculate the critical hitch angle for jackknife. It may sound complicated at first but it’s actually very simple as illustrated bellow:

HELP ! or even get out of the way !!! Are you serious ? The driver doesn’t have a clue ! He shouldn’t even be behind the wheel of a truck. Very simple, STOP before you hit the bridge, put your hazards on, get out and walk to the back of your truck to inform anyone behind you that you have messed up and that you need to reverse and manoeuvre.

He may well have walked to the back of his truck, how do you know he didn’t? As I said the driver can’t be excused but I am not going to start making assumptions about what happened before the footage started.

If it was an ‘outing’ situation of embarrassment, I would not have been daft enough to admit it on here now would I?
It’s called initiative, and reacting and dealing with adverse situations son
Btw they hardly dramatically ‘closed the road’ on the day you speak of, a passing copper helped me out of a situation for all of 2 minutes while I skillfully reversed back up the road for a very short distance, I could quite easily have managed myself if he had not rocked up in a very obliging way…, as you maybe will be capable of one day in the distant future when you have more than 5 minutes experience
I don’t ‘follow’ anything mate, I done without a sat nav for 25 years, I use it as a guide unlike a sat nav slave like yourself, who would more than likely be sh scared leaving the yard without a top of the range truckersooperdooper 400 quid model.
I don’t know why you continue to attempt to take me on at every opportunity Sammy, only to be shot down in flames every time …it’s a bit like your local pub team taking on Barcelona in terms of know how and experience, but if it makes your day, wtf, just carry on, I find it both flattering and amusing.
