How far are you prepared to go to get improvements?
I am not suggesting anyone shound tak the following action - just interested to see which is most popular
not very far is the answer = 54 have viewed this and only 8 have voted (14%)… that means that 86% aren’t even prepared to give their view!!!
does that sum up the industry?
Dont know how to vote.
Forget last message, its just come up different now, it was just like a bar chart before. Going back now and if its working will do a vote.
so if all lorry drivers on a particular day, went round every round about they came to, say 10 times rather than once - how long would it take to have an impact?
what would that impact be■■?
Although I accept that this is not just an Owner driver / haulier scenario.
Who stands to gain the most from drivers campaigning ?.
Will it push up wages or improve things for us if the WTD is dropped ?.
Like everyone else I’m hit in the pocket every time I put fuel in the car, but I can’t see this opposition to WTD & fuel tax by Commercial operators as being anything but a reaction to whats happening to them.
It’s tax breaks on fuel & drivers who can be worked longer hours that is being campaigned for, not a reduction on everyones fuel costs or improved working conditions for drivers.
Bear in mind that the healthier your employers’ coffers are, the better chance you stand of being able to negotiate a pay rise, and the more secure your job is…
The reason why ‘nobody’ is voting (including theesen) or ‘discussing’ the topic is because the same question (in a round about way) pops up every other week and we all know that when it comes round to doesn’t something about it everyone suddenly goes quiet once again and the topic dies a slow death just like all the others…
