Somerset to Wakefield,but was away for weeks,sometimes got a train back for weekly rest,or drive for 4 hours,or he let me park up near home.
Another firm was near Birmingham,away for weeks on end,so no major dramas.
about 3 mile n if car decides not to play can walk in 30min
takes me about a minute to get from the bunk to the drivers seat
29 miles each way. Takes anything between 35 minutes & an hour
As a new driver, had to go with one of the few companies that take noobs.
Start at 3am (Alarm gopes off at 1:30) get back to depot anywhere between 2 & 4:30pm, by the time the empties are tipped & paperwork done and then drive home I sometimes ain’t back home until 6pm
Just enough time to stick some food down my neck & go to bed ready to do it all again tomorrow (only 4 days a week mind

3 miles, but that’s on a push bike and I am of typical trucker build. AND the wind blows against me all the way there, then by the time I head back the bstrd wind has changed direction.
If I could afford to run a car I would be willing to travel 30 miles for a job depending on wages.
i travel nearly 30 miles, can take upto an hour if traffic is heavy tho i usually start well before rush hour and generally do 2 or 3 nights away a week.
couldn’t be picky really as was sacked from my last job and was finding it difficult.
1.5 miles, can either walk, cycle or get the missus to drop me off.
