How does this ride?

Does this look comfortable?

Are these mega trucks and trailers a rough ride? They look it! Do they have shorter suspension ect or just small tyres only?

This photo was just grabbed off the web.

no, deffo not comfortable. in addition to a terrible ride quality, the trailer will cut into the truck chassis in difficult places, we have a list in the office of customers a low-ride unit will not get in or out of without damaging stuff (the boardwalk or ad-blue tank for example). when empty and on hot tarmac, the 445 or 455 wide tyres on the trailer will have the pivot point on the last axle, pretty difficult to maneuver in tight places

I don’t understand, do you mean the front of the trailer will bottom out onto the truck chassis? What about raising the air to give a few more inches or are they really that bad? They always seem coupled far too close for my liking as well.

yes, it’ll bottom out and if you raise it, the end of frame will cut into the trailer. it’s pretty well impossible to run them at 16.5m , we have the 5th wheel about 10 inches rear of the factory setting and still have problems
