That should read [zb]. Or [zb]… or similar…
patiently in the dole queue by the looks of it?
What part of ‘casual’ do you or your mate struggle with?
Zero hour contracts have benefits and pitfalls. Your mate has just discovered one of the pitfalls.

Well it’s fairly obvious id of thought , the bit of how he stands when they relocate his truck , if you of read the o/p you’d know that

No he’s not completely knackered as the new depot is not too far away , and he’s a tramper so he’d only have too travel once a week , but he’s dubious as the new depot is only days / nights ( they’ve told him he can carry on tramping from there ) but he’s got his suspicions it may change when he gets there , that’s why he wondered how he stood , and I’ve never done casual so couldn’t answer him in this situation .
He’s a bit ■■■■■■ off as only last week they asked him if he’d put his days up from 3 too 4/5 per week at his existing depot , this week his trucks going and his job if he doesn’t move , but as he said companies have no loyalty too there employees these days .
I’ll update as and when he rings
How far is the other depot?
Might be worth commuting to keep the job till something better comes along…

Depends on what his FT employment contract said.
Think even though he went casual from FT he continued with same employer and no break of employment so prob have some legal come back.

if its 2 years or over he has a bit of comeback if its less he is screwed.
just move on look for another job if he only wants 3 days a week it should be easy to find.
I suspect when they asked him to up his days recently from 3 to 4/5 a week they where sounding him out as to the viability of keeping the truck based at that site, his response will have been the decider. If he’s smart he might be wise to add a day or two to his working week* and commute to the new site & maintain an income stream, while he adjusts to commuting or finds something new
*whats the viability of him upping his days temporarily and suggesting they keep the truck at the original site? This would negate the need for commuting while he finds another job
casual…isn’t zero hours…casual means, doing the double when your on the dole and working cash in hand still claiming your benefits…or does it mean something different in England to the rest of uk? god luck to him if hes getting away with it,…
I think casual can be either working on the snide or paying tax.
Formal employment is usually the full monty albeit with clothes on.
Informal is part time but can overlap with casual.
Zero hour or agency with delusions of being informal is also quite popular these days.
Doing a foreigner is almost always cash in hand and a little bit mange tout, je suis-je suis…
It can also mean an encounter on a stag do abroad unless that encounter is with a member of a hen party from your own country.
Full lad points are available for the stag if he manages to cop off with the bride from a strangers hen party.
He needs to get used to standing with a limp.

Does that mean the fella in the news recently who woke up in bed with his best man after shagging him looses man points?
Tricky one but I believe even gay lads get the points so on balance full points award with a bonus 50points awarded for being creative and thinking out the box.
Although the best man has took holding the grooms ring a bit to literally so will loose points.
If he is temporary labour, he stands uncomfortably due to his limp.
