Me: Can you prove I haven’t?

You book off on rest at whatever location, (Country) you are in, then when you put your card in 24 or more hours later, you enter the start country again.

You have the proof, not that you need it, they need proof to say you didn’t have a weekly rest. Your card has the proof on it along with the tacho.

Even if you go home and the missus has you decorating the house all weekend, you have still had a legal weekly rest

as a driver its your responsibility to keep your records if you are using a analogue tachograph you could put your weekly rest on a chart or on you last day of your week put SWR (start weekly rest) and when you come back to work after your rest you put EWR (end weekly rest)

on a digital one you should in fact say what you did as a manual entry as it asks you this every time you put your card in by doing a manual entry for you rest you would not have on the print out a bit with a ? next to some number off hours

if you take you card out of a digital tacho the time its out is need to verify what you did when it was out that’s why there a did to put manual entry on its up to you to do it but i not a lot don’t

Because you don’t need to make any entries for weekly rest, either on an analogue or digi.

That’s it exactly, you don’t need to prove anything, it’s up to them to seek further clarification if they have suspicions. All you have to do is provide records covering 29 calendar days, the rest is up to them.

I thought I was seeing DOUBLE !! :unamused:

i started a job with DHL a couple of weeks back and at the induction day the trainer told us that the company require that we fill in tachos for rest days and hand them in after 28 days as for any other tacho.even if we use digicards normally.
i think this is more a company rule rather than law?
