How Do You Meet The Average 48 Hr Week

I keep a “balance” in a small pocket diary.

If i do 51 hours on one week, i know I’m 3 hours over so i will then pull that back each week by doing 47 hours for 3 weeks thus giving me back those 3 hours I’ve gone over.

A lot of drivers out our place like to do it this way, otherwise when we get to the end of the ref period and we are 8-10 hours or w.e over we are told to take a day off without pay. :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

Can we assume that the company you work for is strict on this issue ?

Being a glass half full kind of guy I wouldn’t look at it as a day off without pay, I’d figure that I’d already been paid for it previously when I worked over my hours.

Armed with that knowledge I would then head off to Wetherspoons and attempt to drink my bodyweight in tat lager!

Completely true, my mistake
