How do you like your coffee?

Warning. I overnighted off the M5 at J25 outside the Holidayinn, There is a Murco garage, where i had a coffee. In the morning
had my usual ■■■■ BAD MOVE it wasn’t pretty :open_mouth: . I hadn’t eaten the night before so i guess they never clean the coffee machine :imp:
To make it worse i had to give them more of my money, for some immodium.

I used to keep a little one cup filter coffee machine in my cab, and drink it strong and black, without sugar. I can make coffee much better than that made by Costalot and their ilk.

Filter coffee is the only way for me. Can take a few more seconds than instant, but it’s worth it. The range of quality and flavours available these days is fantastic. Can’t beat freshly ground beans too. I’m sure I have seen 12/24v coffee machines. Would pay for itself in a couple of weeks if you drink auto cafe stuff a lot.

Nescafé Alta Rica. Great big catering size tin, is £25 from Amazon.

Scania do a factory-installed filter coffee machine as an option on the Topline.

I don’t know how much it costs: probably about the same as setting yourself up with a Costa franchise in an MSA car park!

Bleeuuch, I hate coffee.

You want to see the 16 year old darling that graced my eye balls at 5 this morning in the petrol station at Strensham.

Anyway, I don’t know why I wrote that, perhaps because I bought coffee off her which has now gone up for large out the Costa machine from £2.89 to £3.19! Sacre blu! I had £20 on me yesterday & it’s gone.

There’s a Starbucks at Ross which is nice.

Dunno how you put that Syrupy stuff in Coffee you Philistines you! I feel guilty putting Sugar in, even if it is brown.

When I was running abroad years ago I had the time in those days to brew my own filter coffee, (Which I used to buy in Austria), and on the ferry on the way out I would always buy 2 bottles of Baileys to flavour, but after a while it was a question of do you like Baileys in your coffee, or coffee in your Baileys!

I am partial to a cheeky bit/lot of Bailey’s in a Coffee, just that Syrup stuff looks & usually tastes like it will take the enamel off your teeth!

Cappuccino a la Francaise.

Coffee, Chocolate & Cream…

I drink one of these 2/3 times a week…

Always take a flask of black filter coffee with me, Peruvian for preference, I start thinking about about 2hrs before I’m due to stop for my break

Started drinking coffee when I was out as I reasoned no-one could bollox up coffee as badly as they can with tea, several MSAa and ‘coffee’ shops later I found out I was wrong. Worst was in at Frankly on the M5 absolutely revolting and undrinkable.

Flask of hot water, coffee and milk does me during the day and a large costa cappuccino on the way back empty, msa costa £3.59 but a high street costa is £2.65 for the same thing msa robbers lol.
Costa give you 5 points on your costa card for every £1 spent so 5 points is 5p on your card to spend on coffee so if you bought a costa with your points it works out at about £88 A CUP don’t think so lol.

Maybe £1000 was a slight exaggeration

I try the smaller independent garages if I can, they sell them much cheaper - the one on the A19 with a subway in next to McD’s and KFC next to it sells it at £2.10 for a large I think and it was buy one get one free too. had to clean out my travel mug  - the name will come to me eventually, just north of Middlesborough. I went in one night and the plank behind the counter said I had to pay £5 for taking my 45 minute break, despite buying things from the shop. I didn’t pay and gave him an earful when he threatened to “FINE” me… pathetic. (A private company has no authority to fine anyone)

Wynyard. It’s on the main A689/A19 junction towards Hartlepool - NOT the sliproad you come to first if you’re heading Southbound, carry on to the next exit.

Tea here. Strong enough to draw lines in.

If I drink coffee it’s the strongest filter coffee I can find.

Starbucks
Costa
Caffe Nero

And all they can run along. It’s always stale luke warm ■■■■ water and best part of 5 quid for a decent sized cup.

Also subway. 10 quid for a sandwich? Mental

After reading this thread I deceided to invest in a Costa Coffee machine capuccino (other brown muck is available) for £2.85 at Corley services. To be honest it was OK but for that price I was expecting hand relief from the machine while I waited and something a bit special. Would happily pay £1 for it but think I was ripped off. Had to have a 30 instead of the planned 15 min break to pay for it.

Think I will stick to Tea and Vodka and Red Bull.

If you have a smart phone you may find this app handy as it gives you some discounts at Moto service stations which bring the prices to near normal moto-way.com/app

Thats great, thanks.
