Same as that tartan raider! Been Repairing the roads in central london for over 14 years now! ! Know it like the back a me hand!!
As mentioned yesterday I was down in the smoke today again
Had a delivery to Bovis site next to St Bart’s hospital. Had to find a street called Little Britain Thought it was a wind up at first. ■■■■ tight where I had to deliver, but all Ok in the end.
Must say that I sort of actually enjoyed it this time after all the good advice & encouragement from the folks on here. Never got stressed, never swore at anyone, never used the middle finger once
All in all a good run. Probably helped that my delivery wasn’t until 2ish so missed alot of the kamikaze cyclists. But on way out at 5ish they all appeared again as if by magic.
Not saying I’d like to do it all the time (takes ages to get anywhere), but doesn’t hold the same fears as it did.
Glad to hear it Keano!! at the end of the day mate it’s just another stretch of tarmac ay! ■■■■ right about them Nutty Cyclists too’ There like Flies around [zb] mate’ Suicide mission’s all of them!
Keep on Trucking Fella"
Censor dodge removed. L.

That’s the place i went to every 2 weeks! And the main reason i took my class 1.
Well done mate, it is a bit of a tight spot to get in and out off.
Had 9 years doing deliveries anywhere between the north and south circular and central london with frank tuckers driving 38ton brick artic with 40ft roll loader crane trailer. got a real buss from it, the only problem wasn’t getting into sites but where to put the bricks down. half the time they tried to get you to load out the scaffolding for the brickies.
quite a few, if not all, drivers who do, or did, inner London on a regular basis here complaining about cyclists’ kamakazi attitude.
Instead of us just whinging about it on here, could we not come up with some practical way of getting the message accross to them to treat trucks with some respect.?.. unless they want to closely inspect the underside.

That’s easy, just grab them by the chinstrap of that silly helmet tthey wear & twirl the scrawny tofu eating little wretches around, then place their bike under the trailer wheels & pull forward, word will soon spread
I have been having a great time reading the comments on this topic having driven for Royal Mail in Londone for more years than I care to remember, the worst thing for me are bus lanes the number of times a bus has tried to squeeze down beside me and clipped my inside mirror and just driven on with no apolgies forthcoming so I used to wait till the bus had stopped to let passengers on/off then get past it and just ever so slightly get my tyres to straddle the bus lane marking making it impossible for the bus to get by and watch the drivers reaction sheer bliss…
