How do you carry your CPC card?

In the spirit of RobRoy - I was wondering how you all carried your cpc card? I’ve added a Poll

Being a bit of a maverick rebel type cowboy type of trucker, I don’t have one, I look upon it as living on the edge/riding bare back. :sunglasses:
So…none of the above.

I keep mine tucked in the cleavage of my man ■■■■■.

I’d never think any of the consummate pros on here would even leave their house without their CPC card - let alone drive a vehicle without one. I have to say I’m not only shocked - but I’m also disappointed. You are a man with kids Robroy… what will they do if you are sent to prison for taking such liberties?

I recently had a shift on the agency - I was called in last moment to cover a driver who walked off and didn’t have mine. I explained this to the lady in the transport office. I then decided to have some fun and tell her I needed to go home as I couldn’t drive without it. Her face was a picture… She started going on about the truck being loaded and needing to go out asap and was acting demented… She got a bit stroppy when I burst out laughing and said I’d risk it this time only.

Don`t ask Brian Mottram where he carries his.

in a small document case the size of a Samsung tablet, it also houses my driving licence, AALMI card, London Gateway Container port card, fuel cards & other cards for places like Rugby Cement, British Sugar ect. That in turn lies in the bottom of my day bag rather than keep them in the truck.

In wallet, no money in it so plenty of room for all this ■■■■■■■■.

Handy ID too, for the few security bods who think they’re guarding the nations top secret military hardware instead of manning a food factory gate :unamused:

I thought any self respecting profeshinul would have one of these (or similar)

I’m so cool with my spare paper tachos, time chart tacho envelopes, tacho rolls, drivers card and CPC card all in one handy place :sunglasses:

Looks promising.

Any chance of a full review with more pics? Perhaps a youtube video of your review? If it came in packaging it’s a shame you opened it or you could have done an unboxing video.

 if only I’d thought about an unboxing video.

I know a few drivers that would carry around that type of thing… >.<

Yeh…the hi viz wearing, nose pushed up to windscreen sat bolt upright, hands gripping steering wheel (with white knuckles) strictly at 10 to 2 position crew, with the earpiece in.
The ones who do their strict ‘‘17.5 minute’’ daily checks while carrying a clipboard and wearing a hard hat and safety glasses.

Come to think about it I have never been asked to produce one in over 4 years. Even when DVSA have pulled me I was never asked to produce it with my driving licence or digi card. Anyone else never been asked .

Yep, me.

I`ve never been asked too.

Did when i was stopped for an ADR check in early morning but that was police not VOSA. Have a feeling vosa did ask too but was 2 years ago.

Been asked for it more often at employers than anywhere else while I was limping.

As for location, its with all my other driving cards but not money cards…think the CPC card is worth more!

Dqc card is linked to your driver number, so in a roadside check, it all comes up, big brother is watching, and when HMRC are in attendance, NI number reveals more information, just hope they don’t all start working together, and joined up database.

I got asked for mine when I was tugged by dvsa. However that was probably as I looked a bit dodgy. The company had no o licence, and there were 2/3 deferred prohibitions. The blokes were pretty sound about it.

However it’s both insulting and ludicrous that we are made to carry it around*. My partner is a doctor and legally needs to be registered with the GMC. She isn’t made to carry around a card - she simply is on the website and you can look her up. It’s not like they don’t have the tech - I can already look up my cpc online. The carrying the card is simply a joke.

*I’m actually pro continued training and education. I disagree with the format. But as a new driver see the cpc as a kick up the arse to learn new stuff. Although I do have 4.5 years to do my next 3 days training, and have 1 booked for a jolly on a bike.

In an FBI flip down wallet kept in an inside pocket.

I say no more
