How do many KM's do you do?

About 250 - 300 a day, occasionally might do a 450-500 but very rarely.

Years ago I did manage 800km although I’d run over time a bit.

What does everyone do milage wise a week and what kind of work do you do?

Shunting all week and i do give or take 2500kms.

Fixed that for you

Many moons ago I used to work to the following pay scale -
First 3000 kms = £300
after that I was on 17 p a mile .
Best pay cheque I had was £750 . I wouldn’t do it now .Fridge work out of Northern Ireland all over the UK Inverness to Dover and pretty much anywhere in between .

How the hell did you do that it is equal to 3500 miles in a week which would be 500 miles per day for 7 days… Oh I seee… out of Ireland

I thought about the children you see …

I’ve had my truck three months to the day today and I’ve done 33,000 km in it.

All in all I suppose I must have driven about 2.5 million km since I started driving trucks.

Very quiet atm, but normally around 550 - 700 per day when on early afternoon starts, and 350 - 550 when on early evening starts, starting earlier means delivery and collections and a full day, the later shift start seems to be one delivery and a quick trunk down the road, with maybe a small collection mixed in the middle some place.

spending a lot more time strapping down loads and undoing them and waiting to be unloaded…

Euroliners & Tilts by any chance…used to do my head in

There good if they have 24 boards in but 56 right to the ■■■■■■■ top is a joke. I like a properly secured load so for me it works out quite well.

Absolutely mate, 4 boards in each section is plenty 99% of the time eh…

around 900kms a day 5days a wk ,hauling sand/stone redi mix .yrd-quarry round and round and round :unamused: :unamused: for around 7-8 months of the yr.
to stop me going dafter than i am somedays on a redimix truck.

About the same here. Tramping on general haulage.

depends on the work for generators some weeks i could do none at all and, another week I could be looking at 2000 km a week. But when its my turn for a week on general like last week and i did just under 2900 km in 5 days.

I drive 61 plate renault doing nights in markets ive had it. Since feb its done 100’000 its. Got 165000 on clock i do 6 week 1 5week 2 tramping all over uk the firm got a daf on06 plate its done million kms. Still going strong all. Over uk

I left home Sunday night, did 855miles to my drop, tipped, went to bed, got up, picked up a loaded trailer and did 855miles back to the yard, I’m off tomorrow and will possibly do the same run again on Thursday, but in the daytime this time. An average month is over 13,000miles for me, a good month is 15,000+miles :open_mouth:

It seems like a lot, but I bet my 4000mile weeks are easier than your 2500km weeks, that run I did today was on completely empty roads, I overtook no more than half a dozen slower vehicles and was passed no more than half a dozen times myself :sunglasses:
