How can they do it

Was at a snack van at Penrith on the side if the a66 when an Irish driver pulled up he was going to Belgium I asked how long it would take him he told me he would be there tonight I asked where he had set off from he said Belfast. I know it can’t be possible as he was catching the ferry at Dover it isn’t possible is it

Of course it is he’s Irish isn’t he.

Lol that’s what I thought how many tachos must he have

I think someone’s pulling your leg

easy done with little traffic, it just depends where he’s tipping.

I`ve done lokeren to carlisle legally. Lokeren is perhaps an hour and a bit into Belgium.
Where would the driver have entered the uk from Belfast to be on the A66?
Stranraer?

Difficult to say, as Belfast is in the UK…

Paddy loves winding up the Brit drivers

I don’t think so the way he was rushing

Could Patrick have boarded the ferry at Larne and got off at Troon? The few times that I have a coach in South west Scotland I notice that the trucks overtake me when my limiter is set to 100 kms.

Iwas tipping in preston ,and a paddy on the other bay asked could he get done b 4 me as he had a boat to catch in ciarn ryan at 3ish, this was at about 13.00 ish :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

He then asked would i like a job

Could he not have come in from Belfast on a ferry move and do the same in to Belgium but it would make a very long day

Patrick would have a problem getting a boat to troon as that freight crossing finished well over a year ago

Is it bash the Irish night on Trucknet?

I’ll let you into a little secret. Irish drivers think the Brits uptight attitude to sticking by every rule to the second is hilarious, so when they get the chance they love to wind you up with tall tales, because you fall for it all hook line and sinker, every time.

If he is on a fresh card from Belfast on the ferry, it is only a day to Belgium

Trust me, if he’s at a snack van he’s in no rush.
