But why should they be against them ? It’s a well known fact earthquakes are notoriously difficult to predict.
It’s a bit like Michael Fish being jailed for his blunder back in 87 or 88 for not forecasting that hurricane.

Verdict sounded amazing to me (that someone could be apparently be blamed for not predicting an earthquake), and still does, but Guido Fioravanti claimed that the low risk predicted caused his parents not to flee, resulting in his father’s death. Therein lies some justification. The scientists should have just admitted they couldn’t predict it. They obviously will now.

I don’t believe the Italians are particularly a blaming nation are they? I bet they know more about earthquakes than the average Brit.

Should have said City, they have never had much sympathy for science.

Other than that who knows whats going on, 6 years for a wrong guess
