How can I get across to Norway with a motorcycle?

The port of Immingham no longer takes passengers according to DFDS So how can I +bike get across there from Lincolnshire without a trip down to Dover please ?

Hull to Rotterdam then the long slog across

Once you get to Holland\Germany maybe see if there are any trucks going North that have a bit of space for the bike [and you]for a few bob. It’s not the best time to be riding up there now.

Lads not far from you last week hutpik said it was -20. :open_mouth:

As far as I know there isn’t anyway of getting from the UK now, so Rotterdam, ride up to Denmark and then catch a ferry from there across is another option.

get a good runny and use a BIG ramp !!

Hi Albion. It dropped down to -30c last week but it’s warmed up now to -12c.On the other hand we’ve had about 40cms snow in the last week and the border with Norway above Kiruna has been closed for 2 Days because of snowstorms.

Brrr, that’s way too cold! Think it’ll be spring before we are back up again.

As they say here,‘there’s no such thing as Cold, only bad clothing’.But at least it keeps Santa happy and its good for the so called ‘‘adventure seekers’’.

Dragging a low loader with minimal weight on is all the adventure a man needs!

Albion,i’m curious, you said ‘lads not far from me’.Was that local people or your lot coming up here.Who were they working for ,i’m just nosy as we don’t get many Brits or west Euro trucks here, only the car transports in Jan\Feb.

What speed should I aim for? :grimacing:

I’ll probably go in spring next year maybe as a stowaway if someone has space in a box trailer with a tail lift?
I’m just looking at options.I could fly over to meet my bike if it can go as freight to Brevik ?
