How busy this Christmas at you woprkplace ??more busy for last years???or simeral?

Not busy! santas little helpers at amazon  the drones are delivering everything! :grimacing: :grimacing: :grimacing: :grimacing: :grimacing:

Yes, very busy, they’ve opened up a classroom for English spelling lessons, and a computer room to tell people where the spell checker is.

Not noticeably busier than we normally are. I don’t know how busy the day lads are, but we night shift people are going home after 8 hours as usual. Still getting 9 hours’ money though! We’re working up to 23rd Dec, then shut down for two weeks; if it’s anything like the last two years, the night shift on the 23rd will be very easy.

Lol!!

dunno. am on holiday

hard to tell on the new contract since its only been going since september. the delivery side doesnt seem to be picking up much though which is a surprise. last december was absolute chaos. then again that could describe any day of the year in there

No different, we are flat-out busy but the work isn’t seasonal so I don’t expect it to tail off in the New Year.

This year is up on last year for me and flat out at the moment.
Weather could hurt progress though!

We are very busy. Shocking as construction work normaly dies off this time of year. I was in lakeside and one of the shop assistants said its not as busy previous years. Although on the news we kedp hearing online shopping is up

Not really funny, have a look at the name of the person who started the thread, perhaps he is not English, in that case he does quite well

very busy gas bottles hospitals working throughout the crimbo including xmas day not me btw but others are

Always weren’t allowed holidays the 2 weeks before Xmas, now the full month( dec), holiday form ,request Denied :exclamation: :exclamation: :exclamation: :exclamation:
Really gets me,it doesn’t matter if it’s dec/ march they still have to get agency into cover so why :unamused: :unamused: :unamused:

Pretty busy at our place, loads of hire trailers and hire units. I’m working my normal shift although they have given me Christmas day off, back in boxing day.

Very busy, three artics and my rigid going flat out delivering all kinds of FLT’s.

Then after Christmas we have to take all the hire trucks out again, just in time to get them all back to the customers for the Easter rush

Flat-out. But why do so many sites want topsoil in the winter when it sticks in trucks and buckets, and goes lumpy when re-handled?
Christmas shutdown from the 20th, which is also my last day

Usually 17 truck on the road, running 26 at the moment. Our busiest time if the year. Like this from Oct to Dec every year

Flat out, get paid £19.50 an hour as a thank you :grimacing:
