Yes it’s annoying, but I expect you’ll be doing plenty of “other work” when you get back to base, so you will need that break!

It’s the way it goes. Not always bad planning. Sometimes, just. Well,the way it goes! Had the satisfaction of pulling into the yard just on 4:30 and then took my weekly rest. This was in days of frisbees using a Davy timer so may actually have been already 4:32 but couldn’t give a toss. My timer said 4:30 , thats all that mattered. And if it had went to 4:40 that chart would be living up to its nick name. Naughty attitude I know 
. But I knew I spent so much of the week busting my nuts keeping legal that the time I went over by a few mins, well…who gives a ■■■■? I knew I ran legal and I knew the difference between common sense and the bad eggs. But that was the days of the frisbees.

Had that today, 20 mins from the yard with only 10 minutes remaining on a 4.5.

Funny that I always make sure the unit gets a proper wash down when I get back
Not as annoying as getting back to the yard and needing a WTD break before you can knock off

Take it you finished your last break and then drove 4.5 non stop,as your not saying what you was doing before setting off,possibly doing more than 4.5 without so much as a tea break,you did not make it,that`s bad planning because you did not allow yourself sufficient time to cover everything.
