Joined the M5 at 5 NB, Stobart pulling a Morrisons DD let me in, flashed him back in, I was a fraction of a kph quicker as I was slowly catching him up but not enough for a decent overtake, I also always use the slight hill at the split to judge if it’s gonna be worth it. Followed him to M42, M6 south, A14. No issue being slower than him I just eased off a bit… Cue M1 south onto A14, Hovis tanker joins just after us, empty, follows us and tries to overtake 3 time before the hill, only pulls in because of faster vehicles, spends from junction 2 to 7 overtaking then pulls off at 9 with Stobart■■? Do Hovis lorries only run at full speed?

I usually sit at 50mph. Gives me 6mph if I need to overtake anything. I plod along just fine.
I used to be foot to the floor all the time but saving a few minutes is not worth it.

Can see where you are coming from. As already stated, i also always run a couple clicks below limited speed.
Apart from Bert and Doris, that are on the way to the garden centre, you wont be overtaking much running at 50 mph
