I read a bit in the paper years ago, Luther Blisset (footballer from a long while back) had bought a big house somewhere and called it “Far Corfe”
Another one was “Bow Locks” but I can’t remember who’s that was
Have seen a few called dunroaming over the years. Place names- Fingringhoe in Colchester takes some beating
my friends house is called “Dunpayin”
There’s a scouser who retired to Prestatyn called his house dunrobin
It’s not theirs anymore,

You’d be no bloody use on farm deliveries then… most of them don’t even have the name at the end of the track!
I remember a few years back a couple named there house itskintus.
A guy I know didn’t like his neighbour and went through the process of registering his house name (is it done with the post office?) and then proudly screwed the name-board up which proclaimed, ‘Nextowitch’

Farms were easy most if the time. Phillips county map has most of them on.
I like the people who go to the troublesome naming their house but never bother to put a name plaque up! And is it just me or is it always the house you need to find is the one that doesn’t seem to exist? For example the numbers go 21 23 27 ,no sign of 25 which is the one you want , for some reason that was built half a mile away down a side road…
