Just fitted a microwave to my truck and I am really interested in finding out what you guys with similar equipment eat during your days.
Looking for healthy options really but all suggestions welcome.

I cook a lot of ready meals in mine, not the healthiest option due to the high salt and sugar content though.
Healthier less tastier options are available.
If the wife does any cooking, stew, shag bol, con carne etc, she will often do a large portion for me to take to work. [Insert your own large portion joke here].
For best results in my microwave I turn the power down to below half and cook for 20 minutes. This may defeat the object of having a microwave but I find it gives my large portion (alright tiny portion, resembling a button mushroom) a good seeing to and also gets it nice and hot all over.
While my tea is cooking I have time to grab a shower or just prep my cab for the night. Even have a cold beer whilst chilling and unwinding after the day.
As a healthy option, a salad will require only minimum time in the microwave. And if you want to reduce overall calorie intake, then only carry food you like the taste of. As Dave says homemade and frozen stuff is likely to be lower in salt/sugar etc than shop bought. ( see current Mars/Dolmio stories re once a week only)
quote … ‘‘As a healthy option, a salad will require only minimum time in the microwave’’
When and if I decide to eat rabbit food I prefer mine to be cold. Hot salad …YUK !

Have you ever microwaved a doner kebab with its salad in
Cant beat a nice hot salad on a reheated donna kebab
Although species traitors like vegetarians shouldnt be allowed microwaves at all, like lesbians being banned from using ■■■■■■ they have made their choice and should stick with it.
Couse im sure veggies enjoy hot food like most normal folk but I fail to see their purpose in the circle off life so therefore dont value their excistence.
Dont get me started on vegans…
When I said salads require minimal time in a microwave I was thinking of zero… And confess to an error, when i said carrying food you like will reduce calorie intake, I meant that taking food you DISlike will aid slimming.
And, Dave, whats the point of allowing sticks if ■■■■■■ are banned?
The best way to cook a kebab in a microwave is to set it on High for 60 minutes, then, when it’s Mullered, throw it away.
Food of the Devil, IMHO. [emoji57]
Don’t have a Microwave in my Supermarket Specked MAN, so I just heat up home made stews, bangers n mash, curries etc on my dash heater or night heater, also cool down Cider on my Air Con.
Must cost a fortune in diesel, but Hey Ho, I’m not paying. [emoji6].

.
Yeh same here. Some of the Asda curries are healthier than others, just read the lables.
Same as you Dave with meals cooked by wife, Sheperds pies, casseroles etc… (but my Mrs is getting a bit peeved with her tbh, so she says you need to tell her to stop sending meals to me. .)
Steak n kidney pies wrapped in tin foil and put on exhaust on last leg of run, warm up nicely. At last ! A positive use for particle filters.

Just don’t do it in regen cycle or you may have a cremated pie
I have a microwave wired to a 2200 watt inverter.
I have a small halogen oven that was bought for our camper that didn’t have an oven.
It’s now redundant as we changed vans to one with an oven.
I’m pretty sure that in terms of wattage it would be ok.
Question: has anyone tried to use one in a truck?
It would open up a whole new world of camion cuisine.
i find a ginsters in front of the night heater works just as well for the last part of the journey.

Daves Mrs doesn’t cook My Microwave meals, as she says that she’s to busy doing Dave and Robroy.
