I would bet a weeks wages that he is one of those [zb] Whits who drives everyday like that as a matter of course, and cannot see anything wrong with it. In his [zb] for a brain logic YOU will be in the wrong for driving to the legal limit and holding him back from earning an illegal bonus on the wage that him and his mates have driven down to the minimum by achieving near hand impossible schedules that his boss has set him to justify the ■■■■ poor rate he has charged in order to get the job in the first place, it’s a pity he didn’t put himself in a ditch and come a cropper to get the [zb] off the roads and make things safer for everybody else.

The tipper driver, like many of his tipper mates, shouldn’t be on the road. They’re a bunch of desperate cowboy tossers. There should be something done about the way they operate their bonus systems as everyone knows how much of a menace they are on the roads.

( what bonus system) ?
some companys pay a bonus if you get over a certain amount of loads per day, some companys pay per a percentage of each load, some just pay a rate attached too a certain amount of loads done

And some firms tell their drivers that they pay a percentage of what the truck earns, but NEVER tell the drivers what it does actually earn, so they can not work out the percentage that they would actually get(if it was actually true) and said drivers are so ■■■■■■ numb and stupid that they …do actually believe it

Davis Haulage certainly did pay X per day then a percentage of whatever they tell you the truck makes. Whether they still do I have no idea but it crossed my mind as to how the driver actually knows whether his percentage is what it should be barring demanding to see the invoices for the work done that week. Then again, I doubt some of theirs would be able to work it out anyway.

A firm that my mate works for has all the drivers teararsing about like demented idiots to get their ‘earnings percentage’ on top of their set salary on a walking floor job. Competing against each other, starting at stupid o clock every day, trying to be first in the queue, maxing out and passing suitable parking places to park in lay bys at the last second to be away asap next morning
My mate done it his first week then tried an experiment by slowing it down but still getting the job done, starting at a sensible time and doing the job properly. His wage evened out every month to basically the same give or take a couple of quid, so he is basically getting the same pay as the knob heads. Some drivers are as thick as pig ■■■■ and believe everything that they are told.
It would be interesting to hear from any on here that are on this method of payment and be able to refute what I have said.
