holidays

if you work 20hrs a week on a contract [n.h.s] and get 25 days p.a, they then offer you another 10 hrs p.w[ still n.h.s but different dept] what would your holiday entitelment be.
at the moment its 25 days for the original contract but after 4 months its none for the extra as they say there unable to sort contract out, so cant give any holidays.
i thought you were due holidays for partime work [20 hrs] or is the fact its only 10 hrs your not due any
pay is done on same n.h.s time sheet as 30 hrs [ at there request] ta

Think the law states that its 20 days per year no matter what your weekly hours are, anything over that is down to your employers discretion.

Your holiday pay should go up to the 30 hours per week average. As for all this contracts rubbish, its the same employer so they are legally bound to pay you.

You were getting 100 hours holiday, you should now be getting 150 hours holiday (reduced as to when you started the extra hours.)

holidays are worked out on a pro Rata Basis I.E. I.E. if you work full time you get 20 days holiday if you work less days you get whatever the equivelant is to what yo work.
