Holidays and 17 week rule

Ok folks , i have been disputing with my gaffer about the 60 hour rule over 17 weeks, basically he says that if we do 60 hours per week then take a weeks holiday before the 17 week period its tuff luck the weekly period starts a fresh, is that true ?

A weeks holiday counts as 48 hours as far as the WTD goes so takinga week off doesn’t alter anything, apart from adding 48 hours to your total.

Theres too many bosses around like this that know sod all about the wtd.Its their operators licence thats on the block.Soon as they get their heads out if the sand the better.
My lot monitor all the hours we do and keep a running tally on the board. At the end of the 17/26 week period they start to adjust our workload up or down accordingly.
Last year i had 41 rtd days at home plus my holidays. All PAID.
