Hints & tips for mobile home haulage

Hi All,
We have been asked to move a mobile home (3m wide x 11m long) out here in France. Anyone got any hints tips tricks of the trade? We have a 13m (14.6m extended) single axle sloper trailer & a 10t winch and are regularly move plant, caravans etc. The biggest issue I can see is loading it with the massive overhang on the mobile home (must be almost 6m from the rear of the home to the axle) … anyone know how others deal with this?

I don’t know about France’s rules but here the width would be a bigger issue than the length

3m isnt exactly wide, its only just past your mirrors

Be careful with that, I moved a mobile home in France that was stated 3m wide, and I got fined by the gendarmes because the drainpipes took it 50mm each side over width, also, if you’re moving it from one region to another you will need a permit to travel, better check with the rules.

Not in France it ain`t…You get to have wiiiide wing mirrors!

Ok width paperwork aside, does anyone have tips on loading the thing. Do guys doing this kinda work have stupidly long ramps … or how else do you over come the massive overhang and stop the thing grounding out when you trying to load it?
