See lots of them on the A34 heading south with what looks like a big white diving board on the lowloader, obviously not a diving board as it has hydraulics and thick cabling on the underside,
Can anyone enlighten me as to what they are?

deff mining equipment, they are called powered roof supports, found a picture of a bigger version but does the same thing 
Kings heavy haulage do a lot of that work so maybe they are subbing some of it out.
