Highway code test

went to register on agency today
and was bloody woeful on highway code
and couldnt remember which was poa or other work mode
oh & how many reduced breaks and on & on

i did 100% on one of the pages at least
maybe i had a numbed brain from filling out
the 20 page application

Next time you get revising before you go, best try different agency then.

I did them in Cilford or how that is called, and, you will not believe. After they told me what they pay that i had half of Assessment wrong
£9.50 will they pay and @10.40 if Limited but nothing if you on a Umbrella Company, and you are forced to take your Holiday in December! as they dont do Holiday Pay moving over year changing.
Holiday not done by 31. Dec. and Holiday Money is gone.

Since when was poa and wtd in the highway code, you cotton wool for brains.

He never said it was.

Seriously, you have to be a ■■■■■■ to fail an agency written test. It is BASIC highway code and BASIC drivers hours regs.

If you can’t even get the sodding basics of how many reduced rests you can have in a week which, as far as I know hasn’t changed at any point in the last 19 years I’ve had a licence, you’re not fit to be employed.

No doubt as well, you’re one of those people who claim the Drivers CPC is a joke despite obviously being in desperate need of doing the full 35hr training now.

To add further insult to injury, it does now mean that every single agency driver actually getting work is better than Hitch…

Any lorry driver doing it for a living shouldn’t need to revise. The agency tests are noddy stuff.

It changed exactly 4 years and 1 month ago. But don’t let your lack of knowledge of the regulations, often displayed on here, stop you from ripping into someone else who, like you, doesn’t know. :unamused: :unamused:

People in glass houses and all that. :stuck_out_tongue:

Did an agency test last year and fluffed a couple of questions (about WTD I think. It was a longer than normal test). Guy said not to worry, I’d done quite well. Then he said that half the drivers who took the test didn’t get more than 70% and lots got less than 50%. He said the older, ‘experienced’ drivers were often the worst!

I guess we here on TNUK are mostly pretty clued up. :sunglasses:

If you want some practice for theory , try these :

So how did it change from being able to reduce your daily rest to 9hrs 3 times a week? The only thing is the compensation HOWEVER THAT WASN’T MENTIONED.
And yes, I do know about the change 4 years ago but as that wasn’t the point being raised, I didn’t mention it thicko.

Sadly, most of them are as thick as [zb] and in that 50%. It is those older “experienced” drivers who think the CPC is a waste of time when they can’t even work out how many times they can reduce daily rest in a week, what is PoA or Other Work on the tacho and don’t even know basic highway code.

In fact if you made most of them do an agency drivers written test and sacked those who didn’t pass, there’d be a lot of wagons without drivers.

The compensation wasn’t the only thing that changed.

It changed from 3 times per week to 3 times between weekly rest periods. This means you could, provided you hadn’t reduced since your last weekly rest, reduce Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, take a weekly rest period and then reduce on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. That’s 6 reduced daily rest periods in a week so saying you can only reduce 3 times a week is incorrect.

You may know of the change but you obviously have no idea about the changes. If you are going to throw words like thicko and ■■■■■■ about you should really make sure you know what you are talking about otherwise it just makes you look… err, thick.

You brought up the fact that the regulations on daily rest hadn’t changed in the 19 years, which is not correct, in your attack on Hitch for not knowing a basic part of the regulations. You claimed he was not fit to be employed because of this lack of knowledge yet you are also lacking ‘the sodding basics’.

You constantly rip into people for not knowing some part of the regulations yet have consistently exhibited the same lack of knowledge of the various regulations on here going back years. So, how is it okay for you to not know this basic stuff but others are retards, thick and not employable?

I remember years ago when you had been on a course for the hour’s regulations and the WTD and were constantly posting stuff on here that was wrong but because you had been told it on a course you insisted it was correct, even after many people pointed out, with links, that you were wrong.

I have this idea, built up from reading years of your postings, that you must have to whistle while on the toilet just so you know which end to wipe when you’re done. :imp:  :stuck_out_tongue:

Jerry! Jerry! Jerry!
