High Street Wolviston Billingham

Hi all , local knowledge required again ,
Coming in to Wolviston High St the Wellington pub TS225JYfrom j60 A1 movement order gives me A689 left Coal Lane Durham Road then right High Street .
Running at 50T gross and 16’ 3" high so main thing is any low bridges that amateur planners have missed ?
Thanks , Jim

Have you looked it up on Google Earth? No low bridges but there is a 90 degree left bend from Coal Lane to Durham Rd and a 90 degree right onto the High st, and its all residential once you come off the A689.

A689 to A19 to the Billingham turn off looks better, then follow the old A19 through Billingham to the wolsingham slip rd, from the roundabout at the bottom it takes you straight onto the High Street.

How wide are you?? from the dimensions given this should be OK, although as Waco says there are alternatives.

I’m guessing theres no ■■■■■■ so the route has been Ok’d…

I used to carry 12-13’ wide loads and always followed the approved route, never come off the route unless instructed to do so by someone in authority.

+1 I think it is the A1027 you want to go off , first exit, down to the next roundabout (tesco garage in front) 1st exit again, follow the road all the way down (this is the old a19) and just after you go through the last set of traffic lights take the slip road down to the roundabout (white pub in front think its kings arms) take 2nd exit (straight on) follow that road about half a mile or so up the road and you will be there mate ,

I must stress here that although there maybe other options theres a chance these where the original route but have been changed for a reason you may not be aware off.

16.3 and 50ton is barely abnormal but there is a reason for your route and don’t try and change it.

Thanks for all your answers , I’m not wide only 2.9 so that’s not an issue, not Long either so I’ll stick to the MO route probably unless anything drastic happens.
When I get machine to site I am to stay with it while he finishes job then load up again, if I can’t park on site is there anywhere close by to park up for a few hours ?
Thanks again
Jim

huge shell service station A19/A689 that you’ll pass at Wolsingham

Got here ok as per MO nice of route planners to send me under a 16’ 3" bridge when thats my exact height ! Anyway the guy who works the machine watched me under with dropped suspension
Been here about an hour now , two of Stobbies biomass wagons to fill then hopefully away
