ahh the proverbial bag of worms,the problem is most cops dont know the law on agg vehicles and just make it up dependent on mood then you get psuedo experts writing books on it and advising people on it but what is for sure the definitive answer will be found in a court of law when an accident occurs involving a fatality.

An ATAC is an agricultural trailer which:
1.
Does not exceed 510KGS ULW (the ULW must be indelibly displayed)
2.
Has pneumatic tyre fitted to each one of its wheels and;
3.
Is designed and constructed for the purpose of conveying one ATA or one AHF implement.
Example: A specific trailer designed to only convey a combine harvester rotor. No brakes to be fitted.
i may be wrong but will get my book book out when i get back to work, im fairly sure that there is some cop out for trailed cultivators drills etc. not going to argue the without the facts infront of me!!! needless to say tha our sumo cultivator has brakes!!!

Should of bought a Kockerling, all cultivators come with brakes as standard, but then, they are German.
Trailed sumos come with brakes as standard the problem with all of these machines comes when you stick 600hp through the drawbar!!! And of course would rather support a local britsh company

Yes Sumo kit is excellent, they build it real heavy
