a driver is a driver you can either do it or ya cant regardless of what youve got between ya legs .ive done both jobs driver and fulltime dad and carer to my wife and beleave me driving a truck is a peice a cake compared to what im doing now.id no sooner praise a woman for her driving as i would a man.they say housework is womans work but im doing it and i dont get praised for how shiney i get the plates.

I have been tramping all week hence my absence…but I notice that you seem to have a problem with people disagreeing with you. It’s not “PC” anything. I simply disagree with you. That’s all. I also have a dramatically lower opinion of you as a result of this topic too. I can’t bear people who resort to attack, insult, and belittlement when someone doesn’t see their point of view. I won’t rehash the details here, since Ladytrucker has done the job nicely already.
Go back to the stone age, sweetheart. Women got turned on by men with clubs (verbal or otherwise) then, and they were only too happy to hang on your every word.
This is 2006, and whether you like it or not, I think your comments and attitude are patronising beyond belief. As would many other female truck drivers if you stopped gawping long enough to ask them. The “nod and say as little as possible” reaction is what we lasses do when we’re hoping you’ll stop hanging off our door and go away, btw, so don’t take that as agreement. 
If you want to admire anyone, admire all the people - male and female - who stay at home doing full-time childcare whilst we drivers swan off earning a wage. Their job is 24 hours a day, 100 times harder, and the most important in the world.

Look……Trucknetuk.com is a great forum……and I’ll give u guys much credit……come to that matter I spend too much time here………(I’ve given up watching TV so I don’t waste time on TV junk rubbish…….now I’ve ended up here….writing rubbish and reading it)………but what I’ve noticed is that a lot of people treat it like The University of Trucking Talk…….at the end of 3yrs visiting……u get a degree in……errrrr……”Trucking Talk”…….everyone’s English has to be nice and perfect…punctuation……perfectly worded sentences….everything must make total….easy reading….no filling-in between the lines……etc…etc……….

I’ve never once said that in observing a lady driver u…stare at her or gawped……or anything similar…I’ve always said………u would look at her as if she was just another driver………the praises are all a private mental thing……or a private small comment to your drivers mate….nothing big…….that lady would not be aware of anything……
Quick example….last Thur I was in Watford Gap services……in the passenger seat…….fiddling around with something on the bunk……this wagon pulled up on my side……few mins later I leaned back……and just naturally looked across……there was a woman driver…….I looked at her for as long as I would have looked at a bloke……and carried on with what I was doing…….but I made a mental note…”Woman driver…Nice….Want to see more of that” ……she didn’t have a bloody clue…….and on top of that I never saw her driving……I didn’t give a monkey’s…………another point u guy’s make appear from nowhere………
Another quick one……If a Ferrari drives through a town centre……What do most people do……….they naturally have a sneaky look………they don’t let the driver know… ….(don’t want the driver heads getting too big….might pop and make a mess of the paint job….pain in the arse T-cutting it)…(except kids………”Daaaddddyyyy…why haven’t u got one of those■■?..…Shut-up!!!)…and what do we all privately think or speak to the person next to us in a private convo……’Errrrmmmm nice……■■■■ the driver though…rich ■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
