Right I’m back……….First of all let me make it clear………I’m not backing down to anyone…….if someone actually reads my posts……(with a clear minded approach) and comes up with a valid objectionable reply then maybe so.
Let me also make it clear I’m only referring to driving in the UK……so if your mind was international……then fair is fair……I’m not sure what the situation is like abroad.
Ok I’ve just read my posts again, in the first one it may have sounded as if I was referring to the woman’s ability to do the job. This certainly was not the case……as I tried to clear up in the second post….and the example used in my third post, was just to further this point. If u read it without prejudgment…….there is no reference to the Indian ladies ability drive ……or ability to do the job in any which way…I couldn’t careless……it was just the fact that to see an Indian woman actually driving a lorry is an uncommon and unusual site……FACT….hence it will raise natural initial interest………if a white lady just turned up in a village in the middle of nowhere in India…she would attract attention……natural human reaction
So how the hell is that discrimination………■■?
Lucy…….I never once said that u should go up to the person and praise them……actually I said u would treat them as anyone else….It’s just when u see a female driver……in your mind…u think
“Yeah….go on lady…and I want to see more ladies on the road”…(this is not just my view….as posted before)….…
but if someone does compliment u….so long as they are polite, not patronising or rude and u can sense they are genuinely praising u…….then just chill, relax and try to understand were their coming from.
And even if this is discrimination its……GOOD discrimination…………
Discrimination has been going on from day dot in lots of different way…and it takes individuals at the start (whom always have stood out) to change things and peoples mentality ……
So seeing lady drivers is helping to show women are part of the team as well as anyone else, and just as capable as men……but we haven’t quite got there yet…… So when u do it’s a nice sight…(although no big deal)….
That is just reality……TUFF……(none of this PC crap….which is just Nicey….Nicey…perfect world…liberal talk with no real logic or connection to reality……a.k.a…Dream talking ).
Once we’ve got to the point that women are just as common place on the road……such thoughts will dissolve………and it’s getting that way……
‘The unusual will always catch the eye’
When it does come to a situation when someone is looking and discriminating against a women driver……in concern to the job or driving ability…then yes I stand fully behind her…as many will…( although with a little give and take…….u couldn’t send a 8 stone lady on a job that involve handballing heavy goods which a bloke would struggle with…….if she was capable fairs fair……but still)
Ladytrucker u’ve obviously gone off in the same direction as Lucy…u may have thought about my post very hard……but never actually read my posts very hard…Tut…tut………and your example was too individual……my were arrived from unsolicited comments made by others in my presents…….
So Lucy and Ladytrucker…….my original comments were that of……respectful observation not discrimination…….and if it was discrimination it was of good nature.
By the way the looking around an MSA……was just an easy example
