One of mine was seeing my youngest daughter who educational wise has always lived in the shadow of her elder sister, being accepted for college in September 2012. She got the acceptance letter on Xmas Eve.
Conversely, the eldest dropped out of school 5 years ago, when she had the most brightest of futures ahead of her, and now regrets it.
The low point at this moment, is knowing that it’s almost 2 years since my dear Mother died.
My son being diagnosed with cancer again, the lowest.
Followed by losing my job last month.
High point, my driving holidaay in Europe. Saw some amazing sights.
My low point was been told on 7th Jan that the firm I was driving for has ceased, just like that.
The high point was phoning a bloke for whom I did a few runs 10 years ago,and him giving part time work to keep me going and then taking me on full time. Good boss, good wages and good kit.
But i had many low ones but the biggest low point of my whole life not just the year was watching my die of stomach cancer and there was not a thing i could do to stop it she died on the 5th august 2011 at 12.10pm on a sunny afternoon
High point: passing my C and CE tests in the summer and quitting the job I hated.
Low point: finding out the little girl I tried to help after a pile-up on the M6 had died.
Had lows, but deffo not as low as some of you guys, Chin up and remember the best times you had with your loved ones, Easy to say, harder to do I suppose
My High was 14th August when I got Married, my dream wedding which my ex paid for and the another high on the 9th December when we finally got our keys to our Home in Upton, WF9, So far the best move ever, being closer to family and friends
Happy new Year Guys, Maybe I will get to see some of you around in 2012
Low: 8 funerals in the first two months of the year, including my Dad, Auntie and best friend.
Highs: Seeing my 3 eldest kids all go to college & the DVLA changing the rules on diabetics getting their C+E’s back. Hopefully my high next year will actually be getting it back again.
Low - Being made redundant for the second time in 18 months.
High - Gaining my C+E at the first attempt , climbing various “wainwright” summits in the lake district whilst maintaining good all round health which is worth more than a sack of cash to me.
