is it possible to HiAb course in 1 day cause most places I’ve been looking at are saying 2 days
Most CPCS training places will let you book a 1 day Test only.
Obviously you have to be experienced to pass.
Yes I’m sure you could get a piece of paper with Hiab ticket on it after a mornings attendance somewhere, trouble is that it won’t actually help you for the most part as you really need a CPCS ticket which even for an experienced operator takes quite a few hoops to jump through, several stages and lots of cash to get the full experienced operator card. There are other less rigorous accreditations which may be acceptable to some employers.
In the construction industry it is CPCS the one to have. None of these quals are a legal requirement but a company is quite entitled to specify that you must have a certain qualification to operate certain machinery. Own account work like builders merchants tend to use local training providers to provide some basic instruction and certification which ticks the boxes for them.
Ultimately like most things, you pay the money and take the choice.
