Does anyone know if you need a certificate of service for a lorry crane, we’ve one on the lorry and was told by another driver we need this cert. we get the lorry checked over every ten weeks but hadn’t been aware of this cert.
Yeah it’s a three day course mate. Got mine next month
Yes you do. You need a LOLER test cert every 4 years and a visual inspection cert every 12 months.
Thanks all, that’s just all i need, phoned atlas today, theres no service history at all with the crane so it needs the full lot. it takes 8 hours to examine at £50 an hour and then they tell you what needs done
Remember also your slings/chains etc,any attachments need 6 month tickets.
Is there different tests for different Hiab/Mounted Cranes?
Some lorry mounted cranes have more electrics and overload sensors than older models.are they tested different?
what does the test cover?
thanks
If you get Atlas to provide the LOLER they will find everything possible to fix - charge you a fortune!
You might want to get an independent LOLER examiner, they won’t do the work to fix anything but then use another independent hydraulics/crane company to do the work.
Good advice,that.
Is there a hiab type crane loler inspection sheet like a vehicle mot sheet.
Something that can be used to see the requirements for a safe test pass.
