Hi from way down South

Hi to you all from way down South. I am a driver from South Africa. We drive from Cape Town to the DRC Congo pulling 36 tons of fuel two trailers. Any way I am thinking of coming over to Ireland as there was some recruiters down here not so long ago a Mr. Alan Eite from Breen International. Maybe some one can tell me more or give me some tips on the best way to go.

HAVE a look HERE
ALSO take a look at the web siteBREEN

the wages OFFERED are not very good and the costs of liveing
here in europe are more than likely higher than those you have
in South africa, take a slow read also enquire by the BRITISH
EMBASSEY IN SOUTH AFRICAas regards your driveing licence also
any requirments for visas in certain european countrys,

I think it’s the Irish Embassy he’ll need Pete.

Welcome to TN, Nemrek, that’s a helluva run you’ve got there. Any chance of a diary (and pictures) in the near future, before you sell out to the Punt, sorry, Euro?

a little slpip up as regards the embassey, and yeh
the wages are not that bright and belive me , the
fines incurred for offences as regards
driveing and working time, from the countrys you
will be driveing through or to hit you in the wages very deep,

Well it is not only about the pay. Just a bit tied of the same old road day in and day out. Need to see some thing new meet new people. Let’s just call it a working holiday. I kid you not when I say that we driver anything from 800 to 1300kms a day at speeds of 100 to 110kmh just to keep the boss happy and the fuel on time. When Zimbabwe had the money to pay for the fuel we keep the pumps full by road not pipeline.

If you are not to sharp at the borders you could stand up to 3 days. Lots of money (back hands to get our loads moving) and all this with old tucks freightliners and internationals, super link tankers (two trailers) 36 tons of fuel most times the tanks cracked and leeks fuel all over the show. And to top it all the roads are bad pot holes you could lose cars in. ( I Kid you not) then the war in the Congo the bad guys try shoot the tankers up the so called good guys try rob you of every thing.

Nice job hey!
