us down 1 time ur off the books… im really scared there getting strict

The trick is not to ‘Let them down’ … if you can’t work a shift or don’t want to work a particular shift then simply give them advanced notice…that way you’re not ‘letting them down’…
I suspect their definition would be to accept a shift and cancel at the last minute…■■

But we will tell you we have 50 shifts and only 40 drivers. Yet your phone wont ring.
Or they need you for a shift on Wednesday. Then call you Tuesday night and say it’s cancelled.
Or you work till 6pm and get paid till 4pm. “Oh,ill sort that for you”. Then never do
They probably mean not turning up for shifts though or calling them at the last minute to say you are not going in or leaving because a company gives you keys to a truck you dont like (A guy who works for same agency as me actually boasted he refused to drive a 2004 scania and left when they wouldn’t give him one of the 2013 Volvos!) so dont accept a shift you cant do. But dont be afraid to turn a shift down. If that is what he means,tell him to take a running jump. Ive never had an agency threaten me that way. But he may have lost a lot of contracts through unreliable drivers and he does not want burnt again.

Hi flyers went bust mate as most of there companys do, they are executive solutions acting on behalf of hi flyers they go bust now and then rip of there employees and start again but always use hi flyers just be careful with them lot. the lady who owns them has had five company’s go under check them out on company check its free and 9ph is terrible as self employed. he that jav patel there offered me some work i told him to do one. my mrs used to work in the office next door and knows a few stories about them.

Countrywide at mellor will give you work 11.00hr days 12.50 nights loads of work

Don’t knock hi flyers, they give alot of work, to any driver. He must mean, I’m referring to jav, that not turnin up for a shift. I’ve cancelled many times on them, no problem, what I mean is yes, they moan and groan, but they don’t kick you off any books. I haven’t worked for him a month or so, but with one call jav will come through. Ive been using them for 5 years plus now. They were esb or something back then.
Now Neil almond who works there. He used to work for best connections prston. Never ever want to be called by him, never goven me work, offered then no text to confirm. I’ll called and he said it was bloody cancelled. Avoid him Imo.
Plus they’ve never messed my wages up.
I suggest if your doing agency work, don’t put all your eggs in one basket. Don’t rely 100 % on one agency. Move around. . Like this they remain polite and tread carefully with you. Keep 'em in the honeymoon phase…lol. If even once you tell them your in debt…or some other financial trouble…you just gave them your nuts on a plate. They own your soul now. Last minute jobs, 3 am starts etc. Worst case scenario.
My answer to that would be, take me off your books now then ■■■■
That kind of attitude has me heading for the door straight away.
