What tomtom do you have, can you not use the truck navcore / maps?
TOM TOM ONE 2nd edition. Can u get hgv maps for this?

You can but it’s a bit of a task and the tomtom one is a bit slow tbh, I’ve done it on a Tomtom 1, and ran it for a while, but when I got my 1st 520 and did it on that, I’ve never looked back since.
I now have a 520 as my spare and a 540 as my main, both running truck maps and navcores.
Mate had the HGV Solutions on his Tomtom 1, then got me to do the truck maps / navcore on his Tomtom 1, now he’s bought a 540 and he’s a real cheapskate
So I b better buying a newer TOM TOM then? How do u get hgv maps on them?

Why buy fancy additions when there are numorous Free tomtom POI`s available to cover all your needs.
With these added to your current TT, all you have to do is leave the idiot at home, put your brain in gear, check you route on a truckers atlas,
use a little common sense, and eyeball #1…works every time for me

I put truck maps on a 4gb card in a TTone, but it was painfully slow. No use.
Trouble is the TT only had 32 mb internal ram memory.
I put the same card into a TToneXL (after swapping the TTgo.bif file) with 64mb ram and it worked ok.
So, depends on how much internal ram it’s got!
I also got an old navcore that runs the truck maps, but doesn’t take up much memory.
there are a couple of names mentioned on here that “alledgedly” ripped off and started selling the low bridge POI’s that someone (member on pocketgpsworld.com) compiled and made for available free/donation.
i am buy this program.49 pound .and make instalation in my tom tom .good.at least show me before every bridge height.
