Hello all, I’m in a bit of a panic, I forgot to book a medical (50 next week) does anyone know where I could get it done in the Thurrock area, I will be down here today and tomorrow, I’m not bothered about the price my fault for leaving it this late.

DVLA usually send the medical forms out to you in plenty of time,

Thanks for your help, I have managed to get one at Loughton and only £40 and he will download the D4 for me.

ROG is right because you are fifty does not mean you need a medical, I’m 66 this year and haven’t had a medical for at least eight years. Quite legally.

nice one,your £40 down if you didnt need a medical ,they send forms out in loads of time ,something ran out on my licence,cant remember what,sent it off ,added another 5 years on my cat c ,job done

Out of interest was the cat C expiry date on the licence the same date as your 50th birthday ?
I thought the same as the OP when I got to 50. Rang up and said I hadn’t received the form. They explained that although my birthday is in March my medical was not due till October same month I passed my test.
On a side note, one of ours had a medical & failed due to low blood pressure, he contested it & went to his own doctor for a retest, nothing was wrong, blood pressure was all ok.
He’s been off work for 12 weeks while they sorted it out, lost over 6k due to the 1st doctors Faulty machine [emoji57]
He’s now in the process of suing the original Quack !

Hi Rog, I have four entitlements that all due for renewal, C, D, C+E, DE. All due for renewal on 17/7/2016
