Just had my medical for licence renewal, my doctor wanted over £100 plus the VAT!
Luckily the boss knew someone he had used before so got it done for £39 
The guy has offices in Derby, Nottingham and Burton on Trent and is available days, evenings and weekends.
I know I can’t put a direct advert on for him, but if anyone wants the phone number PM me and I will send it.

Had mine on 17th (Tuesday) and in the post 1 hour later. It got returned ( Wednesday) as the doctor had not ticked a box.
Back to the doctors and got the box ticked and signed and posted on Wednesday. returned again (Wednesday) as the quack had put my name in the box for doctors name and had put my DOB as date of examination (1954)
Back to see quack again and posted Wed.
Phoned friday and all is good.
And it cost me £88.00

My local surgery charges £100 for the privilege.

thats a rip off price, but fortunately for me my boss foots the bill.

The doc I use locally has been charging only £30-00 for the last several years.
I have told too many drivers where it’s at already and now I have to wait two weeks to get an appointment!
Your own doctor proberly does a more thorough job
but still not £100 better

Dont know how much my GP wouldve charged, Asked if he could see me on the weekend got point blank refusal, and would not have been able to see me for 3 weeks during the week. They also told me that only they as my registered practice were authorised to carry out my medical. I did point out to the receptionist that as this was a private transaction that made me a customer not a patient, and as such I should be seen at my convenience, not theirs if they wanted my business, she wasnt intrested so I took my business to google and found a doctor near work, who charged me £54. from leaving yard to returning to yard, 1 hour, including visit to post office. license returned 5 days later. job done

Does anybody actually read the Cheap Medicals thread in the Useful Links Forum or am I wasting my time updating it ?
If anybody has any details of where to get a cheap medical that is NOT already on the list, please PM me and I will add them.
