As from my previous post its been nearly a year since i had this provoked seizure put down to alcohol and stress, All mmr,eeg,eeg sleep deprieved scans came back fine as well as blood tests which was requested from the dvla.
My consultant of 38 years completed 2 in depth medical reports saying im at no risk of anymore seizures and have as much chance of anyone of having one again. the Dvla have rejected both and wont even acknoledge the specialist their medical teams decison is final.
My advice is Be very carefull what you say to the dvla ive provided medical evidence they have not even looked at it and are not budging on their 5 year ban. Im still debating going to court to appeal but the legal fees are very high and looking at at £13000 legal bills if i lose.
Me my wife and 3 kids are about 5 months away from having our home repossesed as we cannot afford to run the house anymore. i have had my car licence back now 3 months and im doing a transit van job driving Coventry to Aberdeen and back every night just to make ends meet. All im saying guys its an automatic 5 year ban if you have a fit, seizure you may think your doing the right thing being honest but please be prepered to lose your hgv for a full 5 years.
